Program

5-10 June | Module 1. Breathwork, Tao Yin, Golden Elixir

blank

  • 5 June Introduction for Tao Garden
  • 6-9 June Workshops with Mantak Chia
  • 10 June Review class with Instructor

Taoist breathwork exercises use mindful, intentional and conscious breathing. They majorly emphasize the movement of the lower abdomen and the diaphragm as well as the lungs and the perineum. These ancient exercises are practical tools for connecting your physical body with your energy body.

During 2 days of Breathwork workshops you will discover the most important and powerful Taoist breathing techniques to balance emotions, connect mind and body, increase energy levels and improve overall health. Grandmaster Mantak Chia will explain the theory behind each technique and concentrate on the practice..

Tao Yin exercises are exclusively conducted in seated or lying positions. They encourage improved alignment and movement patterns, which in turn recondition the spine and rejuvenate the body by facilitating the flow of Qi through the body’s meridians. The tendons and psoas muscles gain greater elasticity, and the spine becomes more flexible. .

The practice of Elixir Qigong uses the energies of the hair, sense organs and saliva to strengthen the physical body. Golden elixir, also known as nectar, is the fountain of life. This is the mixture of saliva, other hormonal fluids and external essences that, when mixed, becomes an elixir. This elixir is a major transformer for higher spiritual work and has the power to heal oneself. Elixir Qigong practice involves breathwork, swallowing saliva and techniques of internal power using the fingers and palms (known as Five Finger Gongfu). It also includes a hair breathing practice – the hairs act as antennae – radiating out to nature and the Universe and drawing in energy.

12-15 June | Module 2. Iron Shirt I, II and III

blank

  • 12-14 June Workshops with Mantak Chia
  • 15 June Review class with Instructor

Iron Shirt 1 is a transformative practice that strengthens the internal organs, establishes roots to the earth’s energy, and unifies physical, mental and spiritual health.

In the Iron Shirt 2 you will discover how to strengthen your tendons. Healthy tendons are the foundation of true strength in the body. The West is obsessed with muscle mass, which will always degenerate with age, but Taoists have known for thousands of years the importance of developing tendon power. Strong and supple tendons and open joints allow more space to store raw energy, which can then be transformed into higher creative energy and spiritual energy..

Bone Marrow Nei Gong (Iron Shirt 3) is an advanced alchemy practice that involves increasing, activating and regenerating the bone marrow, which normally declines with age. It is the bone marrow that nourishes and rejuvenates the organs and glands by producing blood. Nei Gong for the bone marrow improves cell production and immunity. You will use sexual energy to strengthen the bones and reverse the effects of aging through the production of sex hormones. You will learn to breathe into your bones and store energy internally to strengthen them, to help prevent osteoporosis or bone deficiency. Last but not least you will enhance your life force with a sexual energy massage and chi weight lifting.
